Opening Ceremony 2nd batch

On 27 Nov 2015, Mater Project Management in Construction (MPM) was successfully organized the Opening Ceremony of MPM 2nd batch at Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar with the presence of the respective guest Minister of Ministry of Construction (MOC), Mr. Kyaw Lwin, and Dr. Hadikusumo, program coordinator from AIT, current MPM1 students and new MPM2 participants.

Mr. Kyaw Lwin, Minister of MOC, apperciated the contribution of AIT for the developing of high quality human resource of MOC. Fund for development of MOC will have reservation on training and there will be some staffs will pursue PhD program after Master degree in near future. He also believes for the successsful of MPM program in Myanmar.

Mr. Kyaw Linn, Permanent Serectary of MOC, said: "MPM program is very useful, all professors are very willing to contribute us the knowledge and experience during the class, ..." They achieved very good knowledge and will apply soon for Myanmar country. On behalf of current students, he would like to acknowledge to Dr. Hadikusmo, Dr. Chotchai, and all MPM profesors for their devoted instruction.

Dr. Hadikusumo expressed his appreciation to the support of MOC for the success of MPM1 program in Myanmar. He was impressed with the hard-working attitude of MPM1 students. They all would take the final defense the day after and if can fulfill all graduated requirements, they will attend the Graduation Ceremony, will be held at AIT Bangkok Thailand on 16 Dec 2015. Dr. Hadikusumo delivered his welcome speech to MPM2 students also.

The new students come from Ministry of Construction and private sectors with number of 22. The program takes 14 months with two international fieldtrips, one trip to AIT-Bangkok and other to one developed country to help participants strengthen the exchange of international project management experience with foreign people and experts in the global perspective.
