AIT offers Professional Master in Project Management in Construction in Vietnam (HCM, HANOI, CANTHO and VUNGTAU)
In Vietnam, Asian Institute of Technology ( http://www.set.ait.ac.th/ceim or http://www.aitcv.ac.vn ) is offering a very innovative program called Professional Master in Project Management in Construction (in short, MPM). MPM program is innovative because the curriculum is designed by combining modern theories and best practice (practical) applications of project management in construction projects. The program aims to train and develop project engineers and project managers to be able to grasp the important theories of project management and be able to apply in construction projects.

2nd International fieldtrip of Project Management in Construction program to Australia
AIT Project Management in Construction program was successfully organized an fiedltrip to Australia for MPM students in Myanmar during 28 June to 05 July 2015.
This trip allowed students to experience the world and the global community, as well as networking opportunities with goverment organization and popular construction companies there.
Program was designed for 3 official visits and sightseeing time at 3 big cities of Australia including Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
The first meeting with Transport for New South Wales (NSW) to learn how the goverment organization manages construction projects constructed by the contractors, brought many fruitful experience in public section. Goverment officers were sharing about how NSW goverment build, manage, and operate public infrastructure system for NSW.

Project Management on Construction (MPM)
Over 90 students of MPM program in Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi) and in Myanmar and CEIM in AIT Thailand gathered at AIT main campus in Thailand during 1-8 April 2015.
During the time, they attended Applied Project Management courses delivered by field experts from the U.S, and Thailand, including:
- Applied Project Management in High-rise building projects
- Applied Project Management in Commmercial projects
- Applied Project Management in Petrochemical projects
- Applied Project Management in Housing and Real-Estate projects
They also experienced international management through the three site visits in:
- Pruksa Precast factory
- Pruksa Precast Building Project
- MRT Purple Line (Bangyai-Bangsue)
This study tour brought more opportunity for international students to expand networking in international construction industry.

On 12 Dec 2014, MPM successfully organized seminar Value Engineering in Infrastructure Projects, presented by Prof. Brockmann, UAS, Bremen, Germany. This seminar attracted over 40 participants who comes from construction consultants, owners, contractors, etc. in HCMC, Dong Nai and Binh Duong.
Prof. Brockmann presented about concept and process of value engineering applied in construction industry. He also shared his valuable experience in BangNa expressway case in Bankok, Thailand.
The discussion part was long lasted with many interesting and useful answers and questions. Some could not come who felt regret that they missed a very valuable talking.
We do hope that can receive the acceptance to come back HCMC on next March 2015 of Prof. Brockman to have another fruitful presentation to our construction project management networking in Vietnam.
