AIT 1st International fieldtrip, 
Professional Master program in Project Management in Construction (MPM)
MPM Myanmar and Vietnam

During 04-12 March 2017, MPM program successfully organized the 1st international fieldtrip for students from Myanmar and Vietnam came to AIT campus Thailand. They had chance to stay at our main green campus and gathered together with students who are stuying in AIT Thailand, Master program in Construction, Engineering and Infrastructure Management (CEIM). 

Students could take Applied Project Management (PM) courses offered during the trip such as Applied PM in High-rise building projects, Housing projects, Commercial projects, and Power Plants projects. There were 3 site visits to Pruksa Precast factory, Plant housing project of Pruksa, and Metro Purple Line project.

This is the required trip of MPM program to give the opportunity for students to stay student life at our AIT beautiful and green mother campus, visit international sites, meeting and networking with other students from other countries.

Welcome MPM10 new students to be a member of AIT-MPM network through Vietnam, Thailand and Myanmar.

On 24 September 2016, MPM program successfully organized an Opening Ceremony for welcoming new students intake September 2016 in Ho Chi Minh city. Those students come from construction companies in both public and private sectors.
Come to join us in the ceremony, MPM alumni, current students, faculty, and partners sent their greetings to new comers as well as shared experience during study time at AIT.
This event is a good chance for all MPM family to meet together, maintain and expand the network.

International fieldtrip of MPM Myanmar students to Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam

On 10 Aug 2016, MPM delegation arrived Ho Chi Minh city, the most dynamic city of Vietnam with very nice weather and friendly people, to continue visit construction sites as well as sightseeing after Hongkong and Hanoi.

They were very interesting in MRT Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien project with the fruiful presentation and practical site view (basement and elevated part). Impressed by the project implementation between crowded area as well as how to intact the acient structure around, i.e Opera House with 100 years old, ...

2nd visit during the day, MPM2 Myanmar had a meeting with Saigon Construction Quality Control (SCQC). SCQC shared about the role of Ministry of Construction in Vietnam, contractors, owners, esp. in Quality Control scope and also received management experience of Government from Myanmar side.

Last visit in Ho Chi Minh city, Hi-Tech door brought to them a part of view about one private company in Vietnam, how to manage, control and implement projects.

They successfully finished the international fieldtrip, organized by MPM, and came back Myanmar. This class will finish all MPM courseworks at the end of this month and is doing final project report under supervision of AIT's professor. The Graduation time for this intake is on Dec 2016 if they fulfill all of AIT graduation requirements.

Students from Vietnam (Hanoi, HCMC and Can Tho) and Myanmar will gather again at Graduation Dates in AIT, Bangkok, Thailand. Such events bring a lot opportunities for MPM-ers to meet together, share experience and expand construction project management network.

Project Management in Construction- Fieldtrip of Myanmar class

Fieldtrip of MPM2 Myanmar to Vietnam - Project Management in Construction Master's program

AIT Project Management in Construction Master's program (MPM) is organizing the international fiedltrip for MPM2 class in Myanmar to Hongkong and Vietnam during 02-13 August 2016. Fortunately, Hongkong visit was very successful despite of Nida storm. 

MPM2 students in Myanmar is almost goverment officers who work at Ministry of Construction and others from private companies. They selected to visit construction sites in Vietnam to learn company's implementation and how company manages site projects.  

On 08 August, they visited 2 construction sites in Hanoi: Imperial Garden project (203 Nguyen Huy Tuong str.) and Palais de Louis project. Two on-going projects brought them useful practical experiences and a part of general view about construction industry in the North of Vietnam.

Today, Myanmar delegation has just arrived Ho Chi Minh city. They shall take a city tour at the most dynamic city of Vietnam and 3 more site visits here.

This activity is a part of MPM program that every year students will have chance to go abroad to see how company there manage construction sites and their organizational management. MPM class in Vietnam and Myanmar have visited Korea, Japan, Taiwan, HongKong, Indonesia, Thailand and Australia during 10 years ago.
