HANOI MPM 1ST TENNIS TOURNAMENT
HANOI
MPM 1ST TENNIS TOURNAMENT: Professional masters – Professional players
Visit our website for more information: www.aitmpm.com
For celebrating our MPM 5th Year
anniversary in Hanoi, on 2nd November 2014, the very first Tennis Tournament of
MPM program in Hanoi was held at Tong Thanh Binh Vietnam Tennis ground in
Hanoi. More than 50 Alumni, current students and friends joined the tournament
which created the most memorable day ever. The event experienced the special
appearance of Dr. Khuat Viet Hung, Chairman of National Committee of Road
Safety (a prominent AIT alumni) and many MPM alumni and students from Hanoi, Ho
Chi Minh City, Vung Tau and Can Tho. Dr. Hadikusumo delivered the welcome
speech and he stated that this was just the beginning of many MPM alumni
activities that MPM program would organize in the coming time.
22 players with 2 female players
were randomly to choose their partners and placed into three groups. As the
rule, teams were ranked by their points; the three top teams and the best
runner-up of three groups were promoted to semi-finals. Two team winners of
semi-finals matched up in finals.
After half of a thrilling and
exciting day, the team of Mr. Tran Quang Nhat (MPMHN5) and Mr. Nguyen Van Hoanh
(MPMHN6) were crowned the champion. This was a deserved sweet result as the
team proved themselves as the most undefeatable during the tournament, the two
members showed their great chemistry just like they had been playing together
for a long time. The first runner-up team was Mr. Doan Anh Vu (MPMHN5) and Ms.
Le Thi Thanh Ha (MPMHN5), they were only unluckily on-step before touching the
champion cup, but they all felt proud. Two runner-up prizes were given to the
team of Mr. Tran Viet Sinh (MPMHN3) and Mr. Nguyen Viet Hien (MPMCT1) and the
team of Mr. Pham Quang Cuong (CEIM Bangkok and Nguyen Thanh Binh (MPMHN6).
Especially, the tournament was marked by the special prize for the most stylist
couple to Dr. Hadikusumo and Ms. Ngo Hoai An (MPMHN6). Dr. Khuat Viet Hung took
the honor to give the trophy to the champion and the souvenir to the impressive
couple while Dr. Hadikusumo and Mr. Tran Dang Manh (MPMHN1 Monitor) present the
medal to all runners-up.
To delivering the closing speech,
Dr. Hadikusumo would like to express his great thank for Alumni and students
who had been continuously supporting the program. He also declared the
establishment of official MPM Hanoi Alumni club with Ms. Ngo Hoai An (MPMHN6)
as the first president. He expected that the club was not only small group of
students but would soon become a network and community of professionals in
construction industry.
Big thanks to the below alumni and students who have voluntary sponsored this MPM Tennis Tournament organization:
