AIT Expert Seminar

Last 22nd Apr 2017 in Hanoi and 23rd Apr 2017 in HCMC, Master Project Management in Construction (MPM) successfully organized the expert seminar - Claim Management and Dispute Resolution for Mega projects - with the participations of over 60 participants from many companies, both private and public sectors such as the PMU for Urban Railways, NPJT Associations, Cofico, Hoa Binh Co., ...

Ms. Sarsinatt, guest speaker, has over fifteen of experience in project management, claim and delay analysis, project CPM programming and resolution of international construction disputes in the United States, Qatar, Malaysia, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates. There projects include large infrastructure projects such as the Big Dig Project in Boston, Massachusetts, various GSA Office Buildings and a U.S. Courthouse in Islip New York, the Dubai Metro Project and the New Doha International Airport, Doha, Qatar.
She is currently working for Quantum International Consulting Ltd. Her current role is reviewing and assessing Contractor claims for the MRTC/NMC-Gamuda on the Line 1 - PMRTLK SBK Alignment. The project consists of 41.5km of elevated civil works, 31 stations, 9.5km underground tunnels, 2 no. Depots, and 11 multistory parking garages.

Construction is a dispute-prone industry. Even successful projects can create a dispute among project participants. This seminar aims to increase awareness and abilities to prevent construction disputes from happening and then resolve them professionally and timely when they arise. Attendees will gain a better understanding of the key elements of claim prevention and resolution that have been widely used and accepted in the international standard.

verview of Construction Claim Management, Role of Claim Consultant, Use of CPM Schedule to Measure Project Delays, Construction Claim Prevention and Resolution Key Success Factors.

AIT 1st International fieldtrip, 
Professional Master program in Project Management in Construction (MPM)
MPM Myanmar and Vietnam

During 04-12 March 2017, MPM program successfully organized the 1st international fieldtrip for students from Myanmar and Vietnam came to AIT campus Thailand. They had chance to stay at our main green campus and gathered together with students who are stuying in AIT Thailand, Master program in Construction, Engineering and Infrastructure Management (CEIM). 

Students could take Applied Project Management (PM) courses offered during the trip such as Applied PM in High-rise building projects, Housing projects, Commercial projects, and Power Plants projects. There were 3 site visits to Pruksa Precast factory, Plant housing project of Pruksa, and Metro Purple Line project.

This is the required trip of MPM program to give the opportunity for students to stay student life at our AIT beautiful and green mother campus, visit international sites, meeting and networking with other students from other countries.

MPM10  in Ho Chi Minh city

Welcome MPM10 new students to be a member of AIT-MPM network through Vietnam, Thailand and Myanmar.

On 24 September 2016, MPM program successfully organized an Opening Ceremony for welcoming new students intake September 2016 in Ho Chi Minh city. Those students come from construction companies in both public and private sectors.
Come to join us in the ceremony, MPM alumni, current students, faculty, and partners sent their greetings to new comers as well as shared experience during study time at AIT.
This event is a good chance for all MPM family to meet together, maintain and expand the network.
